Le 12 août 2026, j’ai fait une erreur de débutant. Mais je n’en ai réalisé la gravité qu’aujourd’hui, le 6 novembre 2026, presque trois mois plus tard.

Internet peut être cruel, parfois… C’est comme un beau feu. Des fois, on se brûle.

Voici l’histoire. En 2024, j’ai acheté le domaine https://learninganxiety.com comme réservation pour mon livre, Overcoming Learning Anxiety. Je me disais que le jour où je ferais mon grand coup, ce domaine communiquerait grand. Il était court, il avait du punch, et il était aussi propre qu’ils viennent. Un domaine à un million de dollars, comme j’aime les appeler.

Mon manuscrit, Apprendre sans anxiété, a été retenu par Performance Édition pour une publication officielle en août 2027.

Oui! Je me pince, ça arrive pour vrai!

C’est une surprise inespérée pour moi. J’ai commencé à travailler sur ce projet en 2022. Honnêtement, j’avais presque perdu espoir de voir mon livre être publié un jour. Et voilà… La patience porte fruit!

L’éditeur m’a fait cette demande: il souhaite que j’ajoute de la viande à mon manuscrit. Vous avez été nombreux à lire la version initiale. Je suis donc curieux de savoir: aimeriez-vous me partager des témoignages, des idées, des remarques, etc.? Maintenant serait le bon moment de le faire.

En ce moment à Montréal ont lieu les séries éliminatoires de Hockey, avec le Canadien contre les Sabres. Toute la ville vibre au rythme des séries et l’on se rassemble plus souvent pour regarder le match.

Lors d’une partie de Hockey précédente, pendant la pause entre les périodes, mon ami Alex m’avait introduit au jeu Wavelength. C’était un petit jeu bien sympa, et d’y jouer entre les périodes de jeu était une super bonne idée. Je vous recommande fortement de profiter des pauses pendant vos émissions pour jouer à des jeux avec les gens autour de vous.

Quelle année!

Trente-cinq livres. C’est moins que l’année précédente (40), mais ce nombre à lui seul ne saurait résumer cette année folle que je viens de vivre. Voici quelques points forts de 2025:

J’ai rejoint l’équipe d’Alloprof en tant que Scrum Master. Je m’éloigne du développement logiciel pour m’approcher du coaching, ce qui est aligné avec mes objectifs.
J’ai donné ma première conférence au DevOpsDays (“Surmonter l’anxiété d’apprentissage”) basée sur mon livre.
J’ai terminé d’écrire la version française de mon livre et je l’ai soumise à des éditeurs. J’ai poussé ce projet aussi loin que j’aurais pu par moi-même. Je suis réellement sorti de ma zone de confort, et je suis fier de moi.
J’ai commencé un nouveau projet de livre, détails à venir!
Environ 140 entraînements musculaires complétés!

Il faut dire que malgré toutes ces réussites, ce n’était pas une année facile. D’abord, j’ai trouvé le contexte social lourd. Il fut très facile de se sentir écrasé par l’anxiété environnante. On sent que le monde tel qu’on le connait est en train de changer, mais on ne connait pas notre destination à moyen terme. La guerre, les crises économiques, les problèmes environnementaux, l’intelligence artificielle… C’est difficile de rester optimiste quand la menace de l’effondrement de tout ce qui nous tient à cœur semble planer à chaque instant. Je nous félicite tous d’avoir réussi à traverser cette année d’incertitude.

J’ai été pris en flagrant délit! Et j’écris ce post pour faire un mea culpa.

Julien, un bon ami, a remarqué quelque chose en lisant mon dernier blog post sur WPM. Le texte a été écrit avec l’aide de l’intelligence artificielle. Apparemment, il y avait beaucoup de “giveaways.” Non seulement dans la forme, mais aussi dans le fait que mon style disparaît à partir de la section “The problem with traditional typing tests.” Il m’a entre autres dit une phrase qui ne m’a pas laissé indifférent:

Here’s a little app I “vibe coded” a couple days ago. WPM stands for Words Per Minute and its goal is to provide metrics for your progress in learning how to type faster. It’s a typing test aimed at improving your speed when writing on a keyboard.

I’ve always been a fan of this type of application, and many good ones already exist (TypeQuicker, AOEU, MonkeyType, ZType, etc.). I was curious to know what “my” app would look and feel like if I ever decided to create one, and what spin I would be able to give mine so it stands apart.

Over the years, I discovered that I can hack my brain into being focused on an activity by filming myself doing it and pretending there’s an audience watching. Strange, right? But, what can I tell you… It just works for me!
